And David said to Uriah； Tarry here to day also； and to morrow I will let thee depart。 So Uriah abode in Jerusalem that day； and the morrow。
11：13大卫召了乌利亚来，叫他在自己面前吃喝，使他喝醉。到了晚上，乌利亚出去与他主的仆人一同住宿，还没有回到家里去。
And when David had called him； he did eat and drink before him； and he made him drunk： and at even he went out to lie on his bed with the servants of his lord； but went not down to his house。
11：14次日早晨，大卫写信与约押，交乌利亚随手带去。
And it came to pass in the morning； that David wrote a letter to Joab； and sent it by the hand of Uriah。
11：15信内写着说，要派乌利亚前进，到阵势极险之处，你们便退后，使他被杀。
And he wrote in the letter； saying； Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle； and retire ye from him； that he may be smitten； and die。
11：16约押围城的时候，知道敌人那里有勇士，便将乌利亚派在那里。
And it came to pass； when Joab observed the city； that he assigned Uriah unto a place where he knew that valiant men were。
11：17城里的人出来和约押打仗。大卫的仆人中有几个被杀的，赫人乌利亚也死了。
And the men of the city went out； and fought with Joab： and there fell some of the people of the servants of David； and Uriah the Hittite died also。
11：18于是，约押差人去将争战的一切事告诉大卫，
Then Joab sent and told David all the things concerning the war；
11：19又嘱咐使者说，你把争战的一切事对王说完了，
And charged the messenger； saying； When thou hast made an end of telling the matters of the war unto the king；
11：20王若发怒，问你说，你们打仗为什么挨近城墙呢。岂不知敌人必从城上射箭吗。
And if so be that the king's wrath arise； and he say unto thee； Wherefore approached ye so nigh unto the city when ye did fight？ knew ye not that they would shoot from the wall？
11：21从前打死耶路比设（就是耶路巴力，见士师记九章一节）儿子亚比米勒的是谁呢。岂不是一个妇人从城上抛下一块上磨石来，打在他身上，他就死在提备斯吗。你们为什么挨近城墙呢？你就说，王的仆人，赫人乌利亚也死了。
Who smote Abimelech the son of Jerubbesheth？ did not a woman cast a piece of a millstone upon him from the wall； that he died in Thebez？ why went ye nigh the wall？ then say thou； Thy servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also。
11：22使者起身，来见大卫，照着约押所吩咐他的话奏告大卫。
So the messenger went； and came and shewed David all that Joab had sent him for。
11：23使者对大卫说，敌人强过我们，出到郊野与我们打仗，我们追杀他们，直到城门口。
And the messenger said unto David； Surely the men prevailed against us； and came out unto us into the field； and we were upon them even unto the entering of the gate。
11：24射箭的从城上射王的仆人，射死几个，赫人乌利亚也死了。
And the shooters shot from off the wall upon thy servants； and some of the king's servants be dead； and thy servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also。
11：25王向使者说，你告诉约押说，不要因这事愁闷，刀剑或吞灭这人或吞灭那人，没有一定的。你只管竭力攻城，将城倾覆。可以用这话勉励约押。
Then David said unto the messenger； Thus shalt thou say unto Joab； Let not this thing displease thee； for the sword devoureth one as well as another： make thy battle more strong against the city； and overthrow it： and encourage thou him。
11：26乌利亚的妻听见丈夫乌利亚死了，就为他哀哭。
And when the wife of Uriah heard that Uriah her husband was dead； she mourned for her husband。
11：27哀哭的日子过了，大卫差人将她接到宫里，她就作了大卫的妻，给大卫生了一个儿子。但大卫所行的这事，耶和华甚不喜悦。
And when the mourning was past； David sent and fetched her to his house； and she became his wife； and bare him a son。 But the thing that David had done displeased the LORD。

12：1耶和华差遣拿单去见大卫。拿单到了大卫那里，对他说，在一座城里有两个人，一个是富户，一个是穷人。
And the LORD sent Nathan unto David。 And he came unto him； and said unto him； There were two men in one city； the one rich； and the other poor。
12：2富户有许多牛群羊群。
The rich man had exceeding many flocks and herds：
12：3穷人除了所买来养活的一只小母羊羔之外，别无所有。羊羔在他家里和他儿女一同长大，吃他所吃的，喝他所喝的，睡在他怀中，在他看来如同女儿一样。
But the poor man had nothing； save one little ewe lamb； which he had bought and nourished up： and it grew up together with him； and with his children； it did eat of his own meat； and drank of his own cup； and lay in his bosom； and was unto him as a daughter。
12：4有一客人来到这富户家里。富户舍不得从自己的牛群羊群中取一只预备给客人吃，却取了那穷人的羊羔，预备给客人吃。
And there came a traveller unto the rich man； and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd； to dress for the wayfaring man that was e unto him； but took the poor man's lamb； and dressed it for the man that was e to him。
12：5大卫就甚恼怒那人，对拿单说，我指着永生的耶和华起誓，行这事的人该死。
And David's anger was greatly kindled against the man； and he said to Nathan； As the LORD liveth； the man that hath done this thing shall surely die：
12：6他必偿还羊羔四倍。因为他行这事，没有怜恤的心。
And he shall restore the lamb fourfold； because he did this thing； and because he had no pity。
12：7拿单对大卫说，你就是那人。耶和华以色列的神如此说，我膏你作以色列的王，救你脱离扫罗的手。
And Nathan said to David； Thou art the man。 Thus saith the LORD God of Israel； I anointed thee king over Israel； and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul；
12：8我将你主人的家业赐给你，将你主人的妻交在你怀里，又将以色列和犹大家赐给你。你若还以为不足，我早就加倍地赐给你。
And I gave thee thy master's house； and thy master's wives into thy bosom； and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah； and if that had been too little； I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things。
12：9你为什么藐视耶和华的命令，行他眼中看为恶的事呢。你借亚扪人的刀杀害赫人乌利亚，又娶了他的妻为妻。
Wherefore hast thou despised the mandment of the LORD； to do evil in his sight？ thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword； and hast taken his wife to be thy wife； and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon。
12：10你既藐视我，娶了赫人乌利亚的妻为妻，所以刀剑必永不离开陪的家。
Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house； because thou hast despised me； and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife。
12：11耶和华如此说，我必从你家中兴起祸患攻击你。我必在你眼前把你的妃嫔赐给别人，他在日光之下就与她们同寝。
Thus saith the LORD； Behold； I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house； and I will take thy wives before thine eyes； and give them unto thy neighbour； and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun。
12：12你在暗中行这事，我却要在以色列众人面前，日光之下，报应你。
For thou didst it secretly： but I will do this thing before all Israel； and before the sun。
12：13大卫对拿单说，我得罪耶和华了。拿单说，耶和华已经除掉你的罪，你必不至于死。
And David said unto Nathan； I have sinned against the LORD。 And Nathan said unto David； The LORD also hath put away thy sin； thou shalt not die。
12：14只是你行这事，叫耶和华的仇敌大得亵渎的机会，故此，你所得的孩子必定要死。
Howbeit； because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme； the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die。
12：15拿单就回家去了。耶和华击打乌利亚�
