我受苦是与我有益，为要使我学习你的律例（诗119：71）。

人都不能靠力量得胜（撒上2：9）。 大卫对非利士人说：你来攻击我，是靠着刀枪和铜戟；我来攻击你，是靠着万军之耶和华的名，就是你所怒骂带领以色列军队的 神。大卫用手从囊中掏出一块石子来，用机弦甩去，这样，大卫用机弦甩石，胜了那非利士人（撒上17：45，49，50）。 君王不能因兵多得胜，勇士不能因力大得救。耶和华的眼目看顾敬畏他的人和仰望他慈爱的人（诗33：16，18）。 丰富尊荣都从你而来，你也治理万物。在你手里有大能大力，使人尊大强盛都出于你（代上29：12）。 我更喜欢夸自己的软弱，好叫基督的能力覆庇我。我为基督的缘故，就以软弱、凌辱、急难、逼迫、困苦为可喜乐的，因我什么时候软弱，什么时候就刚强了（林后12：9，10）。 By strength shall no man prevail。

你们立志行事，都是 神在你们心里运行（腓2：13）。 并不是我们凭自己能承担什么事，我们所能承担的，乃是出于 神（林后3：5）。若不是从天上赐的，人就不能得什么（约3：27）。若不是差我来的父吸引人，就没有能到我这里来的；到我这里来的，在末日我要叫他复活（约6：44）。我要使他们彼此同心同道，好叫他们永远敬畏我（耶32：39）。 我亲爱的弟兄们，不要看错了。各样美善的恩赐和各样全备的赏赐都是从上头来的，从众光之父那里降下来的，在他并没有改变，也没有转动的影儿。他按自己的旨意用真道生了我们，叫我们在他所造的万物中，好像初熟的果子（雅1：16…18）。 我们原是他的工作，在基督耶稣里造成的，为要叫我们行善，就是 神所预备叫我们行的（弗2：10）。 耶和华啊，你必派定我们得平安，因为我们所作的事，都是你给我们成就的（赛26：12）。 It is God which worketh in you。 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves； but our sufficiency is of God。 — A man can receive nothing； except it be given him from heaven。 — No man can e to me； except the Father which hath sent me draw him： and I will raise him up at the last day。 — And I will give them one heart； and one way； that they may fear me for ever。 Do not err； my beloved brethren。 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above； and eth down from the Father of lights； with whom is no variableness； neither shadow of turning。 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth； that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures。
